Hui Makaala's 41st Annual Scholarship Luncheon, Fashion Show & Craft Fair Sunday, October 10, 2010
The Annual Hui Makaala Fashion Show is moving to a new venue! Please join us for a magical afternoon at the Hawaii Convention Center on Sunday, October 10, 2010. The show, entitled "Madama Butterfly," will feature the beautiful designs of Anne Namba, as well as the vocal talents of our guests from the Hawaii Opera Theatre.
Prior to the show, enjoy live Okinawan music and dancing, enter our raffle and door prize drawing, and shop at our craft fair, fabulous silent auction and "country store" from 9 am.
Doors to the ballroom open at 11:30 am with lunch to begin promptly at noon and the show to begin at 1:00 pm. The craft fair will remain open until 2 pm and a trunk show of Anne Namba's fashions will follow the show.
Tickets are $65 (table of ten seats is $650). Seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are due by September 24, 2010, however tickets may be purchased after this date, depending on availability. Tickets will be mailed on or about September 27, 2010.
Hui Makaala is a nonprofit organization and all proceeds are to benefit the Hui Makaala Scholarship Fund which annually awards scholarships to college-bound students who have contributed to the perpetuation of the Okinawan spirit and culture.
